Menopause Awareness

Active Mid Devon has teamed up with menopause expert, Amantha King, who has provided our teams with training to better understand this subject matter.  From September 2024 we are very pleased to announce that we are working towards our 3 leisure centres – Active Tiverton, Active Crediton, and Active Cullompton – becoming ‘menopause awareness centres’!

This will include:

• Numerous ‘Menopause Champions’ within our teams at each centre to create a better understanding of how we can help
• ‘Menopause Champions’ within our fitness teams that are knowledgeable and able to deliver fitness programmes that can help, not hinder, this process
• Complimentary gels/wipes in the ladies’ changing rooms
• Information posters around each site
• Information booklets
• Free knowledge and support sessions – details of our first event are below
