Leisure Business Team

Andy Mackie

Leisure Services Manager

I joined Active Mid Devon in May 2024 bringing with me over 30yrs experience in the leisure industry.  In that time, I have worked in various roles across the business and completed a Degree in Leisure Management. In my most recent role I was an Area Manager with LED Community Leisure, covering 12 facilities across East Devon and South Somerset.  In addition to my long career in leisure I have also been an ‘on-call’ firefighter for over 20 years serving my local community.  I am a keen trail runner and enjoy the gym and spending time with my family.  It is great to be part of a big team all sharing a common goal to provide accessible Health and wellbeing facilities to residents and visitors to Mid Devon.
